Physalis Alkekengi Fruit Extract
Extract from the fruit of Physalis alkekengi (Solanaceae, winter cherry / Chinese lantern), containing physalins, flavonoids (notably luteolin glucosides), withanolides, carotenoids, and ascorbic acid. In vitro studies show reduced ROS production, inhibited pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β), and mixed-type tyrosinase inhibition. Used in ferment-forward K-beauty essences alongside galactomyces and ginseng extracts.
