Extract from the leaves of Viola odorata (sweet violet), a small perennial native to Europe and Asia. The leaves contain rutin, violanoside, cyclotides, salicylates, and mucilages. Distinct from Viola Tricolor Extract (wild pansy) which is used for acne; Viola odorata leaf extract is primarily calming and soothing. Used in K-beauty and European skincare for its gentle anti-inflammatory properties.
