A plant stem-cell culture medium from the meristem (undifferentiated growing tissue) of Centella asiatica, harvested for its soothing, antioxidant, and barrier-supporting phytochemicals.
Extract specifically from the roots of Centella asiatica — functionally distinct from the general 'Centella Asiatica Extract' (which typically derives from aerial parts) and from 'Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract'. Roots contain higher concentrations of polysaccharides and a different triterpenoid ratio. Used in multi-part centella extractions (leaf + root + flower/stem) to deliver the full phytochemical breadth of the plant.
Extract from Chamaecyparis obtusa (Japanese hinoki cypress). Rich in hinokitiol (β-thujaplicin) and flavonoids with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Used in Transino formulas for skin-calming benefits alongside brightening actives.
An extract derived specifically from the leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa (Japanese hinoki cypress), delivering soothing, antimicrobial, and antioxidant benefits through hinokitiol and flavonoids; distinct from the general whole-plant Chamaecyparis obtusa extract.
The hydrosol (distillate water) obtained from Chamaecyparis obtusa (Japanese hinoki cypress), carrying water-soluble antimicrobial and soothing compounds including hinokitiol; distinct from the full plant extract.
Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf Extract is derived from both the flowers and leaves of German chamomile, yielding a broader phytochemical profile than flower-only extracts. Bioactives include alpha-bisabolol (wound-healing, anti-inflammatory), chamazulene (anti-inflammatory, blue pigment), apigenin and luteolin (flavonoid antioxidants), and phenolic acids from the leaf fraction. Distinct INCI from the flower-only extract; used in soothing and sensitive-skin formulations.
German chamomile flower extract rich in bisabolol and apigenin, used to calm and soothe sensitive or irritated skin.
Steam-distilled floral water (hydrosol) from Chamomilla recutita (German chamomile) flowers. Contains volatile compounds including alpha-bisabolol and chamazulene. Distinct from chamomile extract; functions as a soothing, mildly anti-inflammatory toner base.

Cimicifuga racemosa (black cohosh) root extract is derived from the rhizome of a plant native to eastern North America, used in Native American and Western herbal medicine. In cosmetics, its triterpene glycosides and phenolic acids deliver anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity for calming sensitive or reactive skin. The hepatotoxicity concerns from oral supplementation do not apply to topical cosmetic formulations.
A cosmetic extract derived from the leaves of Cinnamomum camphora (camphor tree), delivering antioxidant and mild soothing benefits via leaf polyphenols; distinct from camphor essential oil or the linalool-rich ho wood oil variant.
The aromatic hydrosol (flower water) produced during steam distillation of bitter orange blossoms, used as a toning, soothing water-phase ingredient with a light natural fragrance.
The aqueous distillate (hydrosol) obtained from lemon fruit during steam or water distillation, distinct from lemon extract or lemon essential oil. It retains water-soluble aromatic constituents at low concentrations. Used as a toning, conditioning aqueous phase ingredient in toners, essences, and mists.
Fucoidan-rich extract from Cladosiphon okamuranus, an Okinawan brown algae (mozuku). Fucoidan binds to water molecules to boost skin hydration and has documented anti-inflammatory activity, making it effective for sensitive or dehydrated skin.
An extract from the root of Cnidium officinale (Japanese parsley / Senkyu), a traditional East Asian medicinal herb used in Korean cosmetics for its soothing and skin-conditioning properties.
Cnidium Officinale Root Water is a hydrosol or aqueous distillate from the roots of Cnidium officinale (Japanese lovage, known as Senkyu in Japan and Chuan Xiong / 川芎 in TCM). The root contains ligustilide, butylidenephthalide, ferulic acid, and other bioactives with anti-inflammatory and circulatory-stimulating properties.
